about
This song is about a depopulated town.
About someone who moved, someone who stayed and someone who no longer exists.
About the urge to show that one has become someone.
About the fear of losing direction.
About the longing for something better.
For us, this song is more than just synthpop. It is what we stand for, where we come from and where we are heading.
Glasgow Smile is remixed by the legendary electronic alternative band Mesh from Bristol, England.
lyrics
You think you better off in the dark
You think you need to be someone fun
And what have you become? It’s not enough
Say no to what is wrong and you’re all alone
You turn around
And they’re all gone
You turn around
They’re gone
Now bleed like me
In your eyes I see the fright
Our time will come
So, are you happy now, when you’ve moved?
Do you think that you are someone fun?
And what have you become? At least you’re not
One of the dead boys in our hometown
All the dead boys
In our hometown
All the dead boys
They’re us
Now bleed like me
In your eyes I see the fright
Our time will come
We’re not their kind
Till I lose my mind I’ll try
Our time will come
Now bleed like me
Like me

Bandcamp is my favorite app. Without Bandcamp I would missed out on a lot of great music like Empathy Test! A wonderful album. Occasionally bombastic with nice synths and the voice of Isaac Howlett on top. Well done guys💪🏽 Fredschuit
The great Cat Temper does it again! 10 more synthpop bangers with titles like “Growls on Film” and “Electric Pawpurrella.” Instant classic. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 11, 2023
Three new songs and three remixes from Italian darkwavers Ash Code will surely grace goth club speakers once we can go pick cobwebs again. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 9, 2021
Bouncy electro-funk from the UK with a nostalgic synth palette and an experimental, slightly off-kilter approach to songwriting. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 7, 2020

Probably one of the biggest surprises to me was finding out about BlakLight by just browsing. Very reminiscent of groups like Depeche mode. Has a nice, classic sound with modern additions sprinkled in, and definitely worth a buy. Jet Stromfield
